There is a discussion going on on what the best manner is to convert your docbook xml document into pdf. A few different manners are mentioned. But there is still no winner! That is normal, because it is also a matter of taste.

Chris Karakas has made a new version of his lyxtox-scripts. These can be used when creating docbook sgml documents with Lyx.

A discussion is going on about two documents. Fran Literio is creating the "Bash Scripting Introduction HOWTO", but is not sure if it worth the time and energy because there is also the "Bash Guide for Beginners" of Machtelt Garrels. After a few tips Fran is probably renaming her document and converts it into a Bash Scripting Quick Start HOWTO. The audience is different for both documents so it is probably worth writing it.
